Frassino Ponds oasis

The Route starts from our Camping San Benedetto and you reach immediately crossing a small track in the hinterland between the wine of Lugana and the charming natur oasis of the small Frassino Lake, an intimate mirror of the water with a depth of max. 15 m. from the antique: infact it has created during the last glaciations following the withdrawal of the great ice Benaco and they have found the remains of the first stilt houses in our area, visit and describe the museum Rambotti of Desenzano del Garda.
This museum has the oldest complete plow of the world dating back to the bronze age (2000 a. C.) and the remains of the first pile-dwelling village in our area, dating back at the antique bronze and average, which was found approx. 100 meter of the southern shore of the lake.
The stilt houses returned to light were made of red pine wood and various species of larch trees that formed large and thick woods in the area of the lower lake and surrounding the prehistoric village.
Despite it is a small dimension but it is a very important point of reference for the spill for many species of the water birds.
The Route continues between the countryside until you arrive in the Resort Broglie, Resort Dolci and finally the cycle way in the Resort Porto Vecchio. From there you can cross the Center of Peschiera to reach again San Benedetto.
