News: in some cases the German government cancels the quarantine for those returning from abroad

17/05/2021

With the arrival of Pentecost (23.05) and the summer holidays, the German government loosens the restrictive measures, especially for the quarantine for those returning from abroad, to allow its citizens to travel freely. Italy is, as always, one of the favorite destinations.

This novelty allows German tourists to no longer have the ten-day quarantine obligation and the obligation to carry out a test after returning to their country.

This is ok if they are vaccinated, have recovered from Covid-19 in the last six months, or may exhibit the negative result of a PCR test no older than three days or of an antigen test that has not been carried out beyond 48 hours. The new legislation was approved to facilitate summer travel as long as you do not go to countries considered to be at high risk and where the variants of Covid-19 are widespread. And Italy is not one of them!
